CrossFit is a strength, endurance and conditioning program consisting mostly of a combination of aerobic exercise, isometrics and weightlifting.

It was first branded and popularized by Greg Glassman, a personal trainer who in his career had conducted strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, special operations military units, martial artists, and many other exclusive and professional athletes around the world. His fitness system is one of the unique aspects and reasons why it has become a popular trend in Sports throughout the United States and other various countries.

CrossFit is intended for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of capability. CrossFit is generally an intense system of trainings to excel in fitness.
The unique fitness program/system is one of the unique aspects and reasons why it has become such a prevalent brand throughout the United States and throughout other various countries.


CrossFit is a Sport and a Community.

CrossFit is quite a bit different than other fitness practices. The CrossFit community interacts online, meets at tournaments and in individual gyms (also referred to as boxes).

CrossFit is a community because it is made up of thousands of affiliate (sort of like a franchise) boxes throughout the United States, Canada, and other countries. The affiliate box owners, and members are often aware of other affiliate boxes in their area and many interact, mingle, and even compete at localevents that they sometimes organize themselves. Crossfit calls it “Crossfit Games.”
